Legal Structure

The Max Planck Society is a non-profit research facility which is organized as a registered association. All of the institutes and facilities of the Max Planck Society are largely autonomous in terms of organization and research, but as a rule have no legal capacity of their own.

If you agree to participate and use the form to choose a date, change or cancel an existing date, or take part in an online survey, we also will store the date and time of this communication. Of course, before you participate in a study, you will be informed in detail about the procedure of the study and the collection of data during the study. Your consent to participate in a study will be obtained separately for each study you participate in.

Your data will be stored in the contact database for as long as the purpose of such storage, i.e., to contact you about participating in a study, remains in effect. You may request the deletion of your data at any time. To do so, send an e-mail with the subject “Delete” to studien@ae.mpg.de. Your personal data will then be deleted immediately.

In addition to your contact details and the data requested in the form, we also store the date and time when you made the entry. After your registration for the participation in a study, we will send you an invitation via email.

You may request the deletion of your data at any time. To do so, send an e-mail with the subject “Delete” to studien@ae.mpg.de. Your personal data will then be deleted immediately.

Security

The data entered in the form you fill out are transferred in encrypted form from the web server to the contact database of the MPIEA and then deleted from the server. We will then send you an e-mail with a confirmation link to verify your e-mail address. We take all necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and abuse. Your data are stored in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public. All connections between your computer and the web server are encrypted.

Data Protection: Rights of Data Subjects

In order to ensure transparency with regard to the processing of personal data, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union provides information about the rights of data subjects. As a data subject whose personal data are processed with regard to your participation in our studies, you have the following rights in principle and insofar as no legal exceptions apply in individual cases:

- Erasure (GDPR art. 17, para. 1) 
- Restriction of processing (GDPR art. 18) 
- Data portability (GDPR art. 20)
