What is it about
Time is everything—especially when it comes to quick decisions! In this study, we’re investigating how the brain processes time-based information to respond to the world around us. Your task is simple: react as quickly as possible to basic visual stimuli by pressing a button. Meanwhile, we’ll use a high-precision eye tracker to monitor your eye movements.
The experiment is easy to follow, fun to do, and gives you a unique insight into cognitive processes. Are you ready to put your reaction skills to the test?
Duration
The study consists of 3 sessions on consecutive days. Each session will last 2,5 - 3 hours.
Compensation
For your participation in person you will receive a compensation of 7€ / 30 minutes.
Participation requirements
- Aged between 18 and 35 years old
- Right-handedness
- No neurological/psychiatric impairment
- No autoimmune diseases
Eye tracking
Please note:
- You should not wear eye makeup (e.g., mascara) before the sessions.
- If you wear contact lenses or glasses, please bring both to the study.
- Unfortunately, if you wear only hard contact lenses, you cannot participate in the study.
Physiological Measurement
During the presentation of the visual stimuli, we will take physiological measurements (EMG, electromyography). To do this, we need to attach electrodes to your skin (wrists on both sides, behind the ear) and improve conductivity of the electrodes with some gel. The application and measurements are completely painless.
